I did my own makeup on our wedding day and this is the exact routine and products I used to create my perfect bridal beauty look. It really mattered to me to look like myself and I was far too much of a control freak to let anyone else do my makeup on the day. I just didn’t want to have a creative struggle with a makeup artist on my wedding day. I just wanted to look like my idea of me, not someone else’s – I don’t even know if that makes sense. I had a bit of a phobia of guests at the wedding thinking I looked fake or over done. So I wanted a very natural look, but I also knew it needed to photograph well.
