Pulled Pork and Cheddar Quiche

This tart is my version of a Quiche Lorraine. It has a sweeter pork flavour from the Pulled Pork which is slightly BBQ american in reference. It is great hot straight out of the oven or can be saved and works wonderfully for picnics.

Fill the Tart

  1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and line your tart tin. Refrigerate for 20mins.
  3. Now fill lined tin with baking paper, then baking beans and blind bake for 20mins until golden. Afterwards turn the oven down to 160ºC.
  4. Meanwhile prepare your custard. Beat the Eggs, Cream and Creme Fraiche, then season with the chopped Herbs, Salt and Pepper.
  5. Take the blind baked case and sprinkle the Pork and Cheese evenly across it, then pour the custard over the top.
  6. Bake at 160ºC for 35-40mins.
Top Tip

Serve with fresh herbs on the top.

This recipe can be baked and prepared alongside the Garlic and Goats Cheese Tart.

Checkerboard Paris

When I was last in Paris for fashion week I went along to the Alaia Exhibition at the Palais Galliera. I'm obsessed with Alaia already but if you don't know him you have to go! Even if you love him like I do its a great exhibition.  I took these photos outside afterwards.  p.s. Hope you enjoy the jazz hands! haha

A quick tour of Copenhagen

City Guides

Just before Christmas I went for a few days to Copenhagen.

These are my favourite ten places I visited…

Noma

A once in a life time experience. If a thick slice of chocolate cake is a romcom, Noma is a hard hitting documentary, don’t expect the expected, definitely a culinary experience.

Tivoli

The enormous Christmas/Fun Fair. Very busy, very loud and filled with things to do and eat this, sort of theme park is worth stopping by even if only for some candy nuts and a look around.

The Mermaid

We went to see it on the way to the airport as the sun was coming up, I highly recommend this, as the sun behind it was beautiful.

A.C. Perch's Thehandel

This tea shop has a cult status, there was a queue outside it every time I passed it. The inside of the tiny shop is so cute and the salted chocolate liquorice they sell are worth the queue.

Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek

Holds an incredible Greek, Roman and Egyptian collection.

Nationalmuseet

Walk through the progress of civilisation to Viking times, so fascinating and educative.

Royal Smushi Cafe

The home of the open sandwich and beautiful tea and cakes. Tiny and cute this little cafe will charm anyone.
