Dressing for Love

InspirationOn LocationOutfits
This is another outfit from Oman. I just love this dress. Its so girly, its the kind of dress that makes you feel special. Summer is here at last. The weather is better, the nights are longer and love is in the air. Summer romance is almost palpable when you walk through the streets of the city. It's like everyone wants to remember the summer. I took Thumbelina for a walk in the park recently and every tree had a couple under it.  I wonder what summer loves wait for all of us?!  Maybe you will fall in love with a man/woman,  a house,  a new friend, a pair of shoes or a recipe.  How ever your summer romance takes shape, wear a dress to make it feel special. Nothing says summer love like a pretty dress. Here are a few of my favourites this season...  Hippy,  Red,  Shirt,  Maxi,  Embellished,  Shift,  Pink,  Lace,  Neon, and Gown.

If you follow me in instagram you will know I recently went to Oman for a little sun.  I loved it. The weather was perfect, the food was a yummy fusion of Lebanese, Moroccan and something all its own.  We stayed at The Chedi Muscat and it was a little oasis!

The whole trip was very relaxed and I wore flats most of the time. I think one of the best parts of a holiday is the post sunbathing shower, and then dress up for supper. Denim shorts are a classic for any holiday. They can be very trampy but I don’t think they have to be. Its all what you wear them with. I hope this simple outfit will inspire you to look at your denim cutoffs in a new way!

Chelsea Flower Show 100th Anniversary

DoGardensHome Decor
One way and another I have had the pleasure of meeting some really wonderful people in Horticulture. They all refer to a Monday Chelsea Flower Show ticket as a 'hens tooth'.  They are only let VIPs (the British Royal Family are famous fans of the show), RHS committee members and select press in to the show on the first day. Which means the show is very calm, quite empty and very pleasant to walk around (unlike the rest of the week, when you need an umbrella as a weapon to beat your way to viewing position of anything!).  I have been so lucky (as you avid readers will know) I have been invited a few times by the lovely people from Alitex Glourious Greenhouses to come on a Monday. It's a treat I look forward to every year!  You can see how much fun I was having with their gnomes (part of the celebration that allowed gnomes into Chelsea for the first time to raise money for RHS Campaign for School Gardening).  Thank you so much Alitex for your generosity again this year!
