Another holiday look, I don’t often wear black in the sun, it’s just too hot, but it can look so chic in the the evenings. I love this look because it’s so simple and so easy to recreate and yet a total winner. A classic just add beach hair and gold. I have had these sandals for ages and I wear them to death in the summer, I will have to hope they make them again next summer as I don’t think they will last another year.

Elderflower Granita

Cold Pudding • Sweet

This recipe is really old-fashioned. It can be used to make chunky crystallised ice or light and flaky granita. Simply stir the mix in the freezer less to make the chunks (every 4 hrs). It's light and delicious, the perfect palette cleanser or summer treat.

To dry

Pick Elderflowers in full bloom.
Layout on paper towel in a warm dry place for 3 days to dry.

Making the Ice

Bring the Water and Sugar to Boil in a saucepan. Wash down the sides with wet brush to stop sugar from collecting.
Boil for 5 mins, then add the Lemon Juice and Zest.
Tie the Dried Elderflowers in muslin and submerge in the mixture on the heat for 5 mins.
Remove from the pan and cool, lifting out the muslin and squeezing the liquid out.
Pour the mixture into a freezable container and freeze, stirring ever 2 hours to create the crystals.

I bought a black Balmain blazer about 4 years ago. It was the same collection that produced the wonderful emmanuelle-alt-famed navy blazer. At the time I just couldn’t justify the purchase of two blazers from the same collection but I lived to regret it. Every season I hoped they would reissue a similar design, while searching ebay and vestiaire. Finally they did this season and I was having it whatever the ramen-noodle-eating cost. So the beautiful blazer is mine and I had to show it off at fashion week. You can see me on Vogue wearing this outfit. I wore this outfit into the evening when I attended a lovely supper for net-a-porter, Charlotte Olympia and rewardstyle, proving some outfits last day to night. Mostly when you really love them!
