Christmas Mantelpieces

Home DecorParty PlanningTablescape
With the festive season around the corner, I wanted to share this idea for decorating a drinks party mantelpiece.

During the holidays so much can be going on that the idea of decorating the house and laying out tables for a party can just be too much. This is a lovely way to combine the two. If you choose a lovely bottle like Chambord to base your decorations around you already have a colour and theme. I used the black raspberry liqueur to inspire this mantelpiece, including raspberries. blackberries, redcurrant, cranberries and ilex verticillate. Lots of green foliage and your most grown up tumblers will finish it off. I love an opportunity to create a mantelpiece decoration which as an Odd sense of Luxury. Odd Luxury is one of the playful sides of Chambord.

Thank you for the inspiration Chambord x Refinery29.

The terrace at Bisma Eight and this dress were made for each other. The wind was just cooling as we shot this while the sun went down. The light was perfection, this was the last thing I shot before leaving Bali, it was the perfect way to end our trip.

Elderflower Champagne Freezepops

Cold PuddingSweet
These freeze pops are super cute and make a lovely canapé at a drinks party! They are also a wonderful pudding or palate cleanser.

Fill

  1. Take each mould and fill it with a selection of fruit and herbs. I like to do them by colour themes.
  2. Using a funnel fill the remaing mould three quarters full with Elderflower Champagne. It will expand as it freezes so you need to allow for this.
