When the cherry blossom comes spring is on its way. Every now and then you get a day that makes you think winter is over. The blue skies and pink petals make london more charming than ever. On a brave day I venture out without a jacket and pretend the warmer months are here.

Mummy Darling

CollaborationsLondonOutfits
The most selfless person in your life. Your mother deserves all the attention you can shower her with on Mother's Day.

I have teamed up with Michael Kors to remind you that you need to treat your Mummy! If your mother is anything like mine, she is totally selfsacrificing and the most generous person with her time and energy. Always available for a chat and support. Mother’s are wondrous creatures, we must celebrate them! It’s truly a vocation and gift to be a good mother. I really believe it’s one of the most important jobs in the world.

My gift recommendation this year is a beautiful new Mercer handbag that you can get in a great range of different colours and sizes from Michael Kors. I love the new interchangeable straps with 3D floral appliques and stud details, they add a fresh and modern edge to each bag and can even be added to any Kors bags you already own to update them this season.  I wanted to share three different looks here to give you a bit of inspiration.

If you buy your present at the Regent’s Street store across the UK Mother’s Day weekend (Friday 24th – Sunday 26th March) you will also get a beautiful bouquet! So take your mum to choose her own present.

PARKROYAL on Pickering, Singapore

Stay
The most unusual, organic, undulating and alive building that you can stay at in Singapore.

An unusual spot

The PARKROYAL on Pickering is a very special building. More alive with plants than concrete. It’s flows in waves and layers. Each room enjoys a view of the hotel itself. On first arriving into the room, I was excited to see floor to ceiling windows down the length of the bedroom and bathroom. Affording huge views of the building’s jungle life. It was lovely to lie in the bath with such a great view.

The rooms are modern, as are the bathrooms, which allow the building to speak. Although getting to your room is not for the faint of vertigo heart. You have to walk down an open air corridor, and since the best views are higher up I recommend that’s what you request. You’re rewarded for your bravery in a Orchid Club room with two pieces of free laundry and a complimentary soft drink mini bar.

I love the Orchid Club Lounge, found on the top floor of the hotel. Wonderful views and the most delicious complimentary breakfast and tea is served there. For once breakfast lasts till 11am which means they actually took into consideration jet lag! There are also evening cocktails till 8pm every night. Get a corner window table to really enjoy the views.

The Area

The neighbourhood around the hotel is perfect for first time tourists to Singapore. Chinatown and lovely streets like Ann Siang Hill (with one of my favourite eateries P.S Cafe) are walking distance. All the low rise painted buildings with wooden shutters are a must in Singapore. Although I have been many times I still love to wander the streets. A great place to eat in the evenings, and catch a market too. Wear cool clothes, if it’s crowded it can get hot.

Huge thanks to the Park Royal on Pickering for hosting me and theLuxeNomad for arranging it.
