The world was shocked today by the news of Elizabeth Taylor’s death.

Elizabeth Taylor was an icon in her own time. She will live on in her greatest work and in the memories of those who loved her. She was more than beautiful, she was charismatic and incredibly talented, proving that you can be so much more than you look.
She will continue to be an inspiration to women everywhere.
“I’m a survivor – a living example of what people can go through and survive.”
“Now is the time for guts and guile.”

I think one of her greatest films is Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf.  So in tribute to her… Go out this week – or better yet tonight – and rent it. Its very heavy but she is a master of passion and power in it.

The Alternative Sunday Roast

Menu PlansParty Planning
Sometimes we are on diets - those hateful things -, sometimes our friends are, sometimes we are feeling heavy, sometimes we just don't want a full Roast on a Sunday. Whatever the reason, this is my suggestion for an alternative Sunday Lunch.
The Menu
Pea and Ham Soup with Mint oil
Find the Recipe for the Soup HERE!
I didn’t sieve mine because I like chunky soup.
I also used fresh raw Peas to sprinkle on the top.
Garlic Roast Chicken Salad.
Watercress, Rocket, Romaine lettuce, Tomatoes, Avocado, with a Sour-cream, Onion and Chive dressing.
Baked Plums with Cinnamon Sugar and Creme Fraiche.
Find the Plum Recipe HERE!
I added some Muscat before baking to give the plums a richer flavour and more moisture. I also cooked them at a lower heat for longer.
So I bought these glasses from Giant Vintage, an american online sunglasses store by friend Rico recommended to me.  I LOVE THEM! I think they are like Minnie Mouse ears attached to your glasses and I love animal headgear. I also have blacked out ones.  So when I went around the LFW exhibition and saw the Linda Farrow versions, I rather felt I had got a steal!
Giant Vintage have such a big selection and they ship internationally… Giant Vintage I LOVE YOU!!!
