Day 2 PFW SS13 Part II.

One morning during PFW Candice asked me to go along to the headquarters of Rue du Mail in Paris and take some pictures in the beautiful clothes with her.  You might remember we did something similar last season.  I just love going and seeing what is happening at Rue du Mail every season. They are one of the few smaller luxury brands that embody a modern take of old school glamour (basically my favourite thing!), and it doesnt hurt to have an excuse to dress up with Candice!  You can see some of Candice's pictures HERE!

Day 2 PFW SS13 Part I.

This coat is definitely one of the most beautiful things I own. I never wear yellow, mostly it doesn’t suit my skin tone, but this coat is just so special somehow the yellow is so rich that it looks fine of my skin. I ordered the coat while I was visiting Vietnam, it is made by a Vietnamese designer of traditional dress, Si Hoang.  Each coat takes 6 weeks to make by hand.  All the pattern on the coat is either hand painted or hand beaded. It is a marvel in real life.  This kind of craft is really couture. I want to wear it everyday but I have too much respect for the delicacy of it to do that. So instead now I’m home I have hung it on the mirror outside my room so that I can look at it everyday.

Day 1 PFW SS13

The first day of Paris Fashion Week was so hectic. We arrived on a super early Eurostar to make it to the Issey Miyake show as our first show of PFW. The traffic was awful and there were no cabs, as usual in Paris. So we had a mad dash to the hotel and super quick change to get to the show in time.
I love the Issey Miyake show, its so creative I had to make it and I’m so glad I managed it.  As always it was a pleasure to watch.
