London Fashion Week SS14 Day 4

Singing in the Rain is one of my favourite films ever. Who doesn’t want to tap dance like that, be sung to on sound stages with wind machines and have several random musical montages throughout their day.  I can’t sing to save my life, but I can hold an umbrella. So here it is. My ode to Singing in the Rain, LFW style.

Ok so this is rapidly becoming a weather blog. Today the weather was so bad that we had to shoot in the rain. So bravely bearing suede pumps, I made the best of it.  At least I found this super cute waterproof to keep me dry, there is something so liberating about not having to carry an umbrella.

I kind of had a disaster scheduling day though, I missed a show because I misread the time on the ticket, and then I didn’t manage to not find my friend outside another show who had my ticket by mistake. So two shows missed and lots of rain gathered.  Hopefully I will manage better tomorrow.

Another day and lots more rain. I shouldn’t really complain since we did manage to take these shots and mostly it was light rain. But still… what happened to an indian summer? I always think of fashion month as being hot. It nearly always is. This year it was so hot in NYC and they left us with only rain for London.

Anyway I wanted to show you my fun nails I DIYed last night. I thought they looked cool with my phone cover (another DIY, I’ve realsed that since I like changing my phone cover it’s best to buy a clear one and just cut out a picture or texture to fit inside it. This is hand marbled paper from Venice).

I think this look is so London. I know I managed to get Big Ben in the background, but there is also something about a camel coat that is just so british. Anyway you will be seeing more of this coat because I’m collaboration with Gap again this winter and this is one of the pieces, but I couldn’t resist wearing it this week.

I love this white skirt too, its so chic and the texture is amazing, it’s quilted silk, so thank you so much Tibi for sending it to me!
