Easy Everyday Makeup
This is a makeup look that I wear most days. Its simple, uses relatively few products and leaves you looking fresh and luminous.
Prep your Skin
Apply a moisturiser. My favourite basic day cream is SkinCeuticals Redness Neutraliser. I use my Artis Oval 10 brush to apply is smoothly across my whole face. Always cleaning the brush on its pad afterwards.
Apply a Base
Apply a BB cream or tinted moisturiser. I’m using the By Terry CC Cream in Beige 3. I dot it across my face and work it into my skin with an Artis Oval 8 brush.
Conceal
Using your concealer (I’m using Tom Ford in shade light), cover the areas you had discolouration. This tends to be my under eye, chin and between my brows. But focus where you need it. The using an Artis Oval 6 in circular motions blend the product out.
Brows
Now I go in with a brow pencil. I’m using the Tom Ford one in Espresso. I comb my brows into the right direction and then pencil in short strokes to fill the gaps. Finally brushing again to blend them.
Bronze and Shape
Using a bronzer (this is MAC’s Give Me Sun) and a large powder brush (this one is Sigma), I bronze my face, under my cheekbones, and under my chin and down my neck. It can also be nice to add some along the hair line and then blend the remaining across your face for a more subtle look.
Highlight
Using the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop, I use a Sigma brush to apply the product to the inner corners of my eyes, top of my cheek bones (blending both vertically and horizontally), the tip of the nose and the top of my cupids bow. You can also add a touch under your brows to open your eyes.
Blush
I add blush to the apples of my cheeks, the temples and a little to the bridge of my nose. This gives a summerly slight flushed and healthy look. I’m using a Tom Ford blush and a Sigma brush.
Setting
Now the powders are all laid down I set my face with a facial mist. I love this Omorovicza one. This helps to make my makeup stay in place and last all day without touching up.
Lashes
When my face has dried I curl my lashes, and apply mascara. Always curling it as it dries with my finger too, this helps to remove clumps and lumps and also dry in a curl. This is the Dior mascara.
Lipstick
Finally I add a little lipstick. This is the Laura Mercier one, it adds a lovely tone to your face but it naturally and comfortable to wear.
