Wimbledon, Strawberries and Ice Cream

Collaborations

A day of unabashedly english summer fun.

I was so excited when Häagen-Dazs invited me to go to Wimbledon and try their exclusive ice cream this week. Seriously who wouldn’t be?! I haven’t been to watch the tennis since I was in my late teens when I went to Roland Garros.  As a big fan of Federer I was excited at a chance to glimpse him again, this time on the famous Centre Court. I have never been to Wimbledon before, so I didn’t really know what to expect. It was so lovely, and despite the typically ‘London’ weather it was beautiful. The lush green courts, the beautifully kept grounds and the amazing excitement of the crowd more than made up for it. So many people had dressed up in their finest summer dresses and it was wonderful to see them all getting into the spirit of things so much. Wimbledon really brings that energy out. Shini and I had a great time pottering around under my umbrella and eating as much ice cream as we could.

Luxury ice cream brand Häagen-Dazs is launching a partnership with Wimbledon this year, and to celebrate this they have created a limited edition Strawberries & Cream Stick Bar in honour of this great english pairing. They are only available for two weeks at Wimbledon and exclusively in Selfridges stores in London, Birmingham and Manchester.  What’s more, knowing the excitement that people feel around the tournament they have launched a campaign entitled #LoseYourself, all about celebrating those intense moments when you get lost in the sporting moment.

I’m wearing… Shirt Next, Trousers Oysho, Scarf Mirror in the Sky, Umbrella Lulu Guinness and Shoes Roger Vivier.

The bars are a combination of deliciously creamy strawberry ice cream inside a crisp Belgian chocolate case.

Run to Selfridges quick to get them while they are still available!

Yum!

Tennis is one of my favourite sports to watch. I love Wimbledon! The atmosphere is amazing, although it’s a few years since I spectated at centre court. Love your trousers!
