As a child I was obsessed with Mermaids, I watched the Disney cartoon non-stop, had a mermaid themed birthday party and played with little mermaid dolls endlessly. So naturally I'm still inspired by them. I've referenced them in shoots before, but this editorial is more literal with the sequin scales shimmering amongst the Maldivian aqua waves. I hope these photos evoke their magic a little for you too.
