The shoes that changed everything!

LondonOutfits
I distinctly remember my first meeting with Mr Manolo Blahnik.  I was a teenager on holiday with my family. We were shopping in our favourite mall, and a new shop had opened. It was a shoe shop. It stocked Manolo Blahnik, and it was having a sale. There was one pair of ponyskin, black and white dotted mary-janes left in my size.  I was in love. I begged and begged my mother but she stood firm, refusing me.   I was heart broken.
A little while later it was my birthday. Low and behold what do you think was my star present?
The wonderful Manolo’s!!!
I have never been so delighted with a pair of shoes. It the beginning of my love affair with Mr Blahnik. Who I maintain to this day makes the most understated, elegant and comfortable shoes of all.
Still when I put those shoes on they cheer me up.  Thats the power of really wonderful clothes.  I don’t mean really expensive, or limited edition, or whatever.  I mean clothes that have an invested emotion, memory and meaning. They live forever, even if we out grow them, or gain weight or don’t suit them anymore. They are forever the perfect wardrobe moment. They can never go out of style.  THE SHOES!
