Tangier Vanille

CollaborationsEditorials
A secret door to Morocco.

I’m so excited to share my first beauty collaboration on this new page, celebrating the launch of Aerin’s new scent, Tangier Vanille. Inspired by  Morocco’s legendary bazaars, palaces and gardens.  This scent is a combination of Madagascan Vanilla, Italian Bergamot and deep Bulgarian Rose, followed by Musk, Sandalwood and rich Amber. The result is a heady combination perfect for winter days ahead or decadent hot holiday nights.

Within the collection there is a eau de parfum, a scent rollerball (perfect for travel), body wash, body cream and soap.  All the packaging (which I am always a sucker for) is beautiful. Gold, chocolate brown and white, with a watercolour ikat print, that looks like tiger stripes.

I wanted to shoot the collection in a space that was as close to Morocco as possible. With the rich fabric textures, coloured glasses, lanterns and jewel box tones I always associate with Morocco. For the styling I wanted to reference that bohemian arabesque luxury. Lots of gold jewellery but light silk dresses.  The make-up really came from the location and outfit. I wanted to pull out the gold, red tones and browns, and I saw this beautiful look on Instagram and thought it was the perfect eye shape. A rich plum lip just topped the look off.

I really hope you like this editorial, it was so fun producing it and I cant wait to share more beauty stories with you!

A huge thank you to the amazing location for the shoot. MOMO is a piece of Morocco in the heart of London. The only bad thing about shooting there was that we arrived as they prepped for the lunch service and were salivating for the whole shoot. The smells coming from the kitchen were divine, I cant wait to go back just to enjoy the food.
