My Paris

City Guides
Oh gay Paris is always a pleasure to visit. The vast city affords all kinds of excitements, from weekend markets to cafe people watching. However always remember NOTHING is open on a Sunday! So here are my favourite places from Paris to Eat, Shop, Stay and Do.

Brasserie Le Bourbon

In the summer outside and have the seasonal specials at Brasserie Le Bourbon.

Patisserie Gosselin

Pistachio eclairs and the best take-away Croque Monsieur at Patisserie Gosselin.

Sadaharu Aoki

All the fusion flavours of macaroons and chocolates at Sadaharu Aoki.

Popelini

Tiny little choux buns filled with every flavour of custard from Popelini.

Ecliar De Genie

Every Eclair one could imagine at Ecliar De Genie.

Jacques Gerin

Chocolates and Candies to die for not to mention cakes and tea at the beautiful Jacques Gerin store.

The Hotel Crillon

The best people watching in town and Croque Monsiuer at The Hotel Crillon.

Le Castiglione

Truffle Risotto and watch the fashion pack at Le Castiglione.

Hermes

Pure luxury in a beautifully modern space at Hermes.

Bon Marche

Stop over at Bon Marche for all the wonderful fashion goods your heart could want.

E.Dehillerin

Find every cooking utensil and implement you never knew about at the Parisian institution that is E.Dehillerin.

Cosmos

On a budget chic unbranded clothes that mimic all the key trends and some classics at Cosmos.

Colette

Everything hip and cool along with P.Diddy and the rest at Colette. (also a great spot on the Rue Saint Honure to grab lunch, if you can get a table!)

Castaner

Bonpoint

Herve Gambs

Cire Trudon

Scented candles that are billionaire worthy at Cire Trudon.

Marie Mercie

Goyard

For the original monogramed bag try Goyard.

Isabel Marant

The Hotel Crillon

In pure luxury and Marie Antoinette opulence at The Hotel Crillon.

Hotel Bellechasse

Crazy wallpaper and colours at Hotel Bellechasse.

Hotel Therese

On a simple but chic budget at Hotel Therese.

Hotel Coste

In the land of darkness and Parisian brand cool at Hotel Coste (well worth meal in the courtyard in the summer and a decadent drink in the bar in Winter).

Obviously there are loads of amazing museums and galleries to see in Paris these are just my personal favs…

Versailles & Petit Trianon

A trip to Versailles and more importantly Petit Trianon, the miniature rural village Marie Antoinette had built to play shepherdess with her children in. Each chickens egg was removed in the morning, washed and replaced so the royal children could play in pure country perfection.

Deyrolle

A trip to the 1920’s as seen by Woody Allen at the famous taxidermy Deyrolle. It’s a Parisian institution and as much of a museum as a shop. Often used as a movie set, as in Midnight in Paris for a Surrealist wedding.

Musee d'Orsay

Musee d’Orsay for the architecture as much as the art. I would recommend that you do this in the morning before heading o the train to Versailles from just outside.

The Louvre

The Louvre. The one stop shop for culture. However be prepared to spend at least a whole day. Its massive and involves extensive walking, I advise you research the specific pieces you want to see so you dont get lost wandering around Gothic icons wondering what happened to Mona Lisa!
